FEDOKURASH SE INTEGRO AL DIA MUNDIAL DEL DESAFIO 2014.

San Pedro de Macorís, República Dominicana.- La Federación Dominicana de Kurash hizo acto de presencia en la celebración del Día Mundial del Desafío en esta ciudad tambien llamada Sultana del Este y que contó con una masiva participación de escuelas, colegios, entidades comunitarias, asociaciones deportivas provinciales, cuerpos castrenses, entre otros.

La actividad fue organizada por la Federación Dominicana de Deportes para Todos que preside el arquitecto Joaquín Albizu y que forma parte de las actividades de la Asociación Internacional de Deportes para Todos cuyas siglas en el idioma ingles corresponden a Tafisa.

Este evento es celebrado simultáneamente en todos los países del mundo afiliados a Tafisa  y tuvo el apoyo de las principales instituciones educativas de esta ciudad, asociaciones deportivas provinciales, cuerpos castrenses, la municipalidad y público en general que se congrego a lo largo de toda la ruta que inicio en el Liceo Gastón Fernando Deligne y que finalizo en la Catedral San Pedro Apóstol.

Con esta campaña se busca incentivar las prácticas regulares de actividades físicas en beneficio de la salud y el bienestar efectuadas por medio de acciones comunitarias con la intención de despertar la conciencia sobre los problemas de obesidad y sedentarismo en el mundo.

El arquitecto Joaquín Albizu dio la bienvenida a los participantes en su condición de Presidente de la Federación Dominicana de Deportes para Todos  y por su parte el ingeniero Jaime Casanova Martínez, miembro del Comité Ejecutivo de la Federación Mundial de Kurash, tuvo a su cargo las palabras de agradecimiento, así mismo, Reymundo Gantier, presidente de la Unión Deportiva de San Pedro de Macorís, hizo la exhortación deportiva.

Al Sindico Municipal, Tony Echavarría, le correspondió la clausura del acto momento en que resalto el apoyo que da entidad edilicia al desarrollo de la caminata como un incentivo a la práctica del Deporte y la Actividad Física, para el mejoramiento de la Salud y el Bienestar.

“Esta actividad da una integración total de personas de los diversos estratos sociales, deportivos, empresariales y diversas organizaciones lo que nos permite interrelacionarnos con todos ellos lo que está acorde con la filosofía del Kurash”, dijo el ingeniero Jaime Casanova Martínez al mostrar su satisfacción por el éxito del certamen.

Afghanistan holds the National Kurash Championships

 

Afghanistan Kurash Federation held the National championship in Kabul on 20 May, 2014, Athletes from all provinces of Afghanistan arrived to Kabul to compete in 60kg, 66kg, 73kg, 81kg, 90kg, 100kg and +100kg.
Athletes were rewarded with medals at the end of the championship, the championships venue was Kabul Ghazi Stadium.
The International Kurash Association sincerely congratulate the Afghanistan Kurash Federation with successful holding of the national event!

Ukraine holds Kurash championships

Ukraine Kurash Federation successfully hosted the annual national senior Kurash championships among men and women.
The competition was held at the Novator sport complex in Khmelnitsky city in Ukraine. More than one hundred male and female players representing 14 regions of Ukraine competed for the prizes in eight male and nine female weight categories.
The championship was approved by the Ministry of sport and youth of Ukraine and held under the auspice of the ministry.
The International Kurash Association would like to sincerely congratulate the Ukraine Kurash Federation, its President Mr. Vladimir Machugin, IKA Directing Committee member Olga Machugina and all the staff, referees, officials and volunteers of the federation with successful holding of the championships despite the difficult situation in Ukraine

IKA PRESIDENT COORDINATES THE CHILDREN OF ASIAN GAMES / PRESIDENTE DE IKA COORDINA LOS JUEGOS DE NIÑOS DE ASIA.

IKA President and the Director of Asian Games Department of the Olympic Council of Asia Mr Mr Haider A. Farman is on two day visit to the Sakha Republic - Yakutia in Russia with the coordination purposes regarding the Children of Asia Games. This multi sport event is held once in each four years and is under patronage from the IOC, OCA, UNESCO and the Russian government.

The Games feature 15 sports, mainly Olympic ones and are open to male and female athletes under 16. The 2016 edition of the Children of Asia Games will for the first time feature the official Kurash competitions.

Natural resources rich Yakutia is the largest region of Russia with territory bigger than Argentina and five times bigger than France.

Today Mr Farman had an official meeting with the President of Yakutia Mr Borisov, at the meeting Mr Borisov sincerely thanked the Olympic Council of Asia and HRH Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah for the significant support to the success of the project of the Children of Asia Games which are gaining more international recognition. Yakutia President also pledged his support to promotion of Kurash in the republic.

Then at the Republican meeting of the Yakutia Presidential Sport Council Mr Farman gave a welcoming address to participants of the Council and then was awarded by the Yakutia President with the Order of Merit for his contribution to promotion of ideals of sport in the world.

Earlier the day Mr Farman had meetings with Vice President of Yakutia Mr Glushko, Minister of sport and physical eduction of Yakutia Mr Gulyaev.

Mr Farman also visited the Republican center for traditional sports where he was introduced to a number of national Yakutian traditional games and sports and met with young local athletes and coaches.
 

Lebanon hosts international championships

Beirut, the capital of Lebanon successfully hosted the V Arab Kurash championships.

This event is traditionally organized once a year in April by the Arab Kurash Union which unites more than 15 national Kurash federations representing Arab speaking countries of Asia and Africa.

This year the Arab championships gathered official delegations from eight countries from Asia and Africa, namely Iraq, Lebanon, Sudan, Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Palestine and Yemen.

The competitions were held among senior men in six weight categories, under 60, 66, 73, 81, 90, and over 90 kg.

LIBANO SEDE DE UN CAMPEONATO INTERNACIONAL

Beirut, la capital de Líbano organizó con éxito el V Campeonato Arabe de Kurash.

Este evento se organiza tradicionalmente una vez al año en abril por la Unión Arabe de Kurash que reúne a más de 15 federaciones nacionales que representan a países de Asia y África de habla árabe.

Este año los campeonatos árabes reunieron las delegaciones oficiales de ocho países de Asia y África, a saber: Irak, Líbano, Sudán, Jordania, Siria, Egipto, Palestina y Yemen.

Las competiciones se celebraron en senior masculino en seis categorías de peso, bajo 60, 66, 73, 81, 90 y más de 90 kg.
