CASANOVA DISERTA SOBRE KURASH EN CONGRESO MUNDIAL DE JUEGOS Y DEPORTES ALTERNATIVOS
Santo Domingo, República Dominicana.- En la continuación del Congreso Mundial de Juegos y Deportes Alternativos cuya realización está fechada de 14 de septiembre al 9 de octubre, este 21 de septiembre 2020 correspondió a la Unión Panamericana de Kurash su correspondiente presentación.
Al finalizar resaltó el camino del kurash hacia el Programa Olímpico con la inclusión de esta disciplina en los Juegos Asiáticos del 2018 para concluir objetivamente con el desarrollo del kurash en América por las diferentes Federaciones Nacionales y el trabajo en equipo para alcanzar la inclusión de la disciplina en Juegos Panamericanos, Sudamericanos, Centroamericanos y del Caribe, Bolivarianos, Centroamericanos, entre otros.

CASANOVA SPEAKS
ON KURASH AT THE WORLD CONGRESS OF GAMES AND ALTERNATIVE SPORTS
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.- In the continuation of the World Congress of Alternative Games and Sports whose realization is dated from September 14 to October 9, this September 21, 2020 the Panamerican Kurash Union corresponded to its corresponding presentation.
Initially
Ricardo Acuña, president of CODASports, made the presentation of the president
of the Panamerican Kurash Union, Jaime Casanova Martínez as a
speaker.
Casanova Martínez thanked the opportunity of the presentation to carry out the development of kurash worldwide while highlighting the World Day of Peace on this date, which is consistent with the postulate of the conclave that reads "A planet united by the game and sport "
The History of the kurash since its birth more than 3500 years ago placing it as the Mother of all Martial Arts and its development through the centuries carrying the regulation from generation to generation until 1980 when the collection of all the information that it would carry began upon the creation of the International Kurash Association (IKA) on September 6, 1998.
I speak of the
historian and philosopher Herodotus who described the kurash in great detail in
his work "History" highlighting among other things the customs and
traditions of ancient Uzbekistan.
He highlighted
Avicena qualified as the first of the wise men, being a doctor, philosopher,
scientist, polyglot and who considered this type of martial arts useful for the
health not only of the body, but also of the spirit.
Tamerlan, conqueror,
military leader introduced the Kurash into the physical training and self
defense program for the soldiers of his invincible troops.
He then went on
to develop important activities from the creation of the IKA to the present day
with the World Championships in Infant, Youth and Senior; male and female,
training courses in training and refereeing, among others.
The placement of
videos with the IKA structure and the competition rules formed an important
part of the virtual presentation that was attended by different users from
various countries and continents.
At the end, he
highlighted the path of kurash towards the Olympic Program with the inclusion
of this discipline in the Asian Games of 2018 to objectively conclude with the
development of kurash in America by the different National Federations and
teamwork to achieve the inclusion of the discipline in Pan American, South
American, Central American and Caribbean, Bolivarian, Central American Games,
among others.
Casanova Martínez thanked the organizers of the event while making important assertions in favor of keeping the sport linked to culture since a large number of games and sports highlight the disciplinary roots from generation to generation.
Casanova
Martinez recognized the important achievements of the first president of the
International Kurash Association, the uzbek Komil Yusupov, and the important
leadership of the entity by the now chief executive, the Kuwaiti Haider Farman.
"I hope
that this congress continues to be held year after year as it brings people
closer with games, their sports and cultures, for which the Panamerican Kurash Union will always be available," said Casanova Martínez at the end of
his presentation.
