FEDOKURASH ON ITS NATIONAL DAY

Dominican Republic.- In what is a true tradition year after year, the Dominican Kurash Federation, Fedokurash, celebrates the National Day of this
discipline of Uzbek origin and of great expansion worldwide.
For the
occasion, the different associations that make up the incorporated entity held
exchanges, arbitration clinics, exhibition of posters, walks, painting contests
with the kurash theme and its origins of more than 3,500 years ago, talks to
attract new practitioners in schools and schools, recognitions, in short,
everything that highlights this discipline that is considered the Mother of all
Martial Arts.
Kurash entered
the international sports world on September 6, 1998 when the International
Kurash Association (IKA) was founded in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, which has since
governed this discipline and is already practiced in 120 countries on five
continents. .
The Dominican Kurash Federation is chaired by Professor Israel Caraballo Jiménez, an
entity whose superior bodies are the Panamerican Kurash Union (UPK), which is
chaired by Jaime Casanova Martínez and the International Kurash Association
(IKA), whose main executive is the Kuwaiti citizen Haider Farman.
The Dominican
Republic dates back to 1999, with Jaime Casanova Martínez, Elpidio Pimentel
Castro, Alquímedes Ortiz Cruz and Israel Agustín Caraballo Jiménez as reference
presidents in chronological order.
"There is
great enthusiasm for the celebration of the different acts on this National
Kurash Day in the Dominican Republic on the part of the affiliated associations
and that they will have the full support of Fedokurash," said Professor
Israel Caraballo Jiménez, president of the national federated entity when
announcing the indicated activities.
