FEDOKURASH REINTRODUCE AL COMITE OLIMPICO DOMINICANO SOLICITUD DE AFILIACION

Santo Domingo, República Dominicana.- En lo que fue un importante intercambio de impresiones con el presidente del Comité Ejecutivo del Comité Olímpico Dominicano el ingeniero Garibaldy Bautista recibió la introducción nueva vez de la solicitud de afiliación de la Federación Dominicana de Kurash, Fedokurash, de manos del también ingeniero Jaime Casanova Martínez actuando en su condición de secretario de la entidad federada y presidente de la Unión Panamericana de Kurash (Kurash).
Se recuerda que ya la Fedokurash había solicitado la afiliación a ese
ente del deporte olímpico en fecha del 3 de septiembre 2021 y de la que hasta
el momento no se ha recibido respuesta alguna por lo que los directivos
federados decidieron reintroducirla.
La reunión de se realizó en el despacho del presidente del Comité
Olímpico Dominicano en un ambiente de camaradería donde se trató el tema de la
afiliación de este deporte llamado la Madre de Todas las Artes Marciales ya que
su práctica data de más de 3500 años y cuyo origen es de la República de
Uzbekistán en Asia Central.
Casanova Martínez informo que ya esta disciplina es oficial desde 2018
en los Juegos Asiáticos y que este año 2023 entra en los Juegos Africanos y así
mismo en los Juegos Europeos Juveniles lo que le da el aval para transitar el
importante camino olímpico.
Esto ha posibilitado que República Dominicana sea el centro del desarrollo del Kurash en toda América y donde compiten y se tecnifican atletas, árbitros y entrenadores de Chile, Uruguay, Bolivia, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Haití, Nicaragua y los Estados Unidos, entre otros-
Es este desarrollo lo que ha servido para que la International Kurash
Association (IKA), como organismo rector a nivel mundial de la ancestral
disciplina, nos haya otorgado diferentes reconocimientos de parte de su
presidente Haider Farman.
Y es que la Fedokurash ha transitado un largo camino de ascenso en un
lugar preponderante en el deporte nacional participando en los XIII Juegos Nacionales
Monte Plata 2006 como deporte de exhibición y ya para los XIV Juegos Nacionales
Hermanas Mirabal 2018 lo hicimos de manera oficial.
En otro orden estuvo en los IX Juegos Nacionales Escolares Monte Plata 2019 y en los Juegos Universitarios Nacionales 2022 con el soporte y compromiso de las 15 asociaciones que conforman la Fedokurash.
Nuestros atletas, entrenadores, árbitros y dirigentes han paseado su calidad en diferentes países del globo terráqueo contándose entre ellos Uzbekistán, Turquía, Armenia, Brasil, Bolivia, Brasil, India y Haití, entre otros.
Ya incorporada bajo las leyes dominicanas y haber sido reconocida por el
Ministerio de Deportes y Recreación, Miderec, en administraciones anteriores,
la Fedokurash enfila sus acciones a lograr lo que entiende es la muy merecida
afiliación al Comité Olímpico Dominicano bajo las directrices de sus dirigentes
con Israel Caraballo Jiménez, Alquímedes Ortiz Cruz, Jaime Casanova Martínez,
Franklin Pérez y Marcos Reyes Torres en sus condiciones de presidente,
vicepresidente, secretario, tesorero y vocal, respectiva y sucesivamente del
organismo federado.
"Tengo plena confianza de que los nuevos miembros del Comité Ejecutivo del Comité Olímpico Dominicano evaluaran muy positivamente nuestra solicitud de afiliación para beneficio de esta disciplina en pleno ascenso en el mundo", así se manifiesto Casanova Martínez al finalizar la reunión.

REINTRODUCE MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION TO THE DOMINICAN OLYMPIC COMMITTEE
Santo
Domingo, Dominican Republic.- In what was an important exchange of impressions
with the president of the Executive Committee of the Dominican Olympic
Committee, the engineer Garibaldy Bautista received the new introduction of the
application for affiliation of the Dominican Kurash Federation, Fedokurash, from
hands of Jaime Casanova Martínez, also an engineer, acting in his capacity as
secretary of the federated entity and president of the Pan-American Kurash Union.
It is
recalled that Fedokurash had already applied for affiliation to that Olympic
sports entity on September 3, 2021 and from which no response has been received
so far, so the federated managers decided to reintroduce it.
The meeting
was held in the office of the president of the Dominican Olympic Committee in
an atmosphere of camaraderie where the issue of the affiliation of this sport
called the Mother of All Martial Arts was discussed since its practice dates
back more than 3500 years and whose origin is from the Republic of Uzbekistan
in Central Asia.
Casanova
Martínez informed that this discipline has already been official since 2018 in
the Asian Games and that this year 2023 it will enter the African Games and
likewise in the European Youth Games, which gives it the endorsement to travel
the important Olympic path.
The
discipline has been practiced in the country since 1999 and by 2004 the first
Pan American Kurash Championship was held and in 2006 the World Kurash Youth Championship for
from 2010 and year after year to be the permanent headquarters with marked
success of the Pan American Championships in children. , youth and senior both
female and male.
This has
made it possible for the Dominican Republic to be the center of Kurash
development throughout the Americas and where athletes, referees, and coaches
from Chile, Uruguay, Bolivia, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Haiti,
Nicaragua, and the United States compete and train, among others.
It is this
development that has served for the International Kurash Association (IKA), as
the world governing body of the ancestral discipline, to have granted us
different recognitions from its president Haider Farman.
And it is
that the Fedokurash has traveled a long way of ascent in a preponderant place
in the national sport participating in the XIII National Games Monte Plata 2006
as an exhibition sport and already for the XIV National Games Hermanas Mirabal
2018 we did it officially.
In another
order, it was in the IX Monte Plata 2019 National School Games and in the 2019
Monte Plata National University Games with the support and commitment of the 15
associations that make up Fedokurash and the National University Games in 2022.
Our
athletes, coaches, referees and managers have shown their quality in different
countries of the globe including Uzbekistan, Turkey, Armenia, Brazil, Bolivia,
Brazil, India and Haiti, among others.
Already
incorporated under Dominican law and having been recognized by the Ministry of
Sports and Recreation, Miderec, in previous administrations, the Fedokurash
directs its actions to achieve what it understands is the well-deserved
affiliation to the Dominican Olympic Committee under the guidelines of its
leaders with Israel Caraballo Jiménez, Alquímedes Ortiz Cruz, Jaime Casanova
Martínez, Franklin Pérez and Marcos Reyes Torres in their capacity as
president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and member, respectively and
successively, of the federated body.
"I am fully confident that the new members of the Executive Committee of the Dominican Olympic Committee will evaluate very positively our request for affiliation for the benefit of this discipline in full growth in the world," said Casanova Martínez at the end of the meeting.
