 FEDOKURASH EN LOS JUEGOS UNIVERSITARIOS NACIONALES DE LA
REPUBLICA DOMINICANA

Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana.- Las instalaciones del Pabellón de Tae Kwon Do en el Centro Olímpico Juan Pablo Duarte fue el escenario adecuado para la realización de las competencias de Kurash de los Juegos Universitarios.

Al efecto, la Dirección del Deporte Universitario del Ministerio de Deportes y Recreación (Miderec) que dirige el profesor Roque García acepto la inclusión de esta ancestral disciplina con mas de 3500 años de existencia en las justas universitarias del presente 2022.
Nueve universidades nacionales presentaron sus atletas en esta justa contándose entre ellas a la Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD), Universidad

Tecnológica de Santiago (Utesa), Universidad Tecnológica del Sur (Utesur), Universidad Nacional Evangélica (UNEV), Universidad Católica Nordestana (UCNE), Instituto Tecnológico de las Américas (ITLA), Instituto Superior de Formación Docente Señorita Salome Ureña (Isfodosu), Universidad Católica de Santo Domingo (UCSD) y el Instituto de Estudios Especializados Loyola.

Previo al inicio de las competiciones fue realizado el acto inaugural con el himno nacional, palabras de orden el profesor Roque García en su condición de Director del Deporte Universitario para seguidamente la intervención de Jaime Casanova, presidente de la Unión Panamericana de Kurash para de inmediato iniciar las acciones.

En los 48 kilogramos femeninos la atleta Mística Núñez logro la presea de oro de este arte marcial oriundo de la Republica de Uzbekistán y que esta regido por la International Kurash Association (IKA) bajo la presidencia de Haider Farman.
Los 57 kilogramos el primer lugar fue para Hilda Sánchez para Darieldy Contreras la plata y correspondiendo los dos terceros lugares a Angela Pineda y Criselianny Pérez.

Los mas de 70 kilogramos Ruth Montero con la medalla de oro, Evelyn Cuevas con la plata y Yuleidy Rosario el bronce de la actividad que convoco a los mejores peleadores universitarios del país.
En la rama masculina compitiendo hasta los 66 kilogramos Carlos Guzmán gano la medalla de oro, Josías Vizcaino la plata y Samuel Guzmán el bronce.

Los hasta 81 kilogramos Israel Caraballo Puello se alzo con el metal dorado seguido Uladislao Ryabiniu con la plata y el bronce en las manos de Rafy Duran.
Edward Paulino en los mas de 90 kilogramos se corono campeón de la categoría al derrotar a Jarbel Brito siendo este ultimo medalla de plata y Omny Peralta el bronce.
En la premiación por equipos la Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD) se adjudico el primer lugar de la justa con dos medallas de oro e igual cantidad de plata.
La segunda posición del certamen atlético fue para la Universidad Tecnológica del Sur (Utesur) con una presea dorada, una plata y similar cantidad de bronce.

Por su parte la importante tercera posición del evento competitivo fue compartido por la Universidad Nacional Evangélica (UNEV), Universidad Católica de Santo Domingo (UCSD) y el Instituto de Estudios Especializados Loyola quienes lograron una medalla de oro cada una.

Finalizados los combates se procedió a la correspondiente premiación de parte de el profesor Roque García, Jaime Casanova Martínez e Israel Caraballo Jiménez, este ultimo presidente de la Federación Dominicana de Kurash (Fedokurash)
Los encargados de impartir justicia arbitral lo  fueron Francisca Ortega, Manuel Guerrero y Nathanael Vázquez durante todo el trayecto del certamen el que fue definido como exitoso de parte de atletas, directores de deportes de las respectivas universidades y publico en general.
Por su parte la señora Juana Morban fue la directora deportiva del certamen que tuvo varias horas de duración competitiva en las ramas de masculino y femenino.

FEDOKURASH IN THE NATIONAL UNIVERSITY GAMES OF THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.- The facilities of the Tae Kwon Do Pavilion at the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center was the appropriate setting for the Kurash competitions of the University Games.

Santo Domingo, República Dominicana.- El 17 de noviembre del 2015 la Conferencia General de la UNESCO en la resolución 38C/70 proclamo el 20 de septiembre de cada ñao como el DIA INTERNACIONAL DEL DEPORTE UNIVERSITARIO a fin de propiciar la contribución de las universidades de todo el mundo al fomento de los valores ciudadanos mediante la educación y el desarrollo de los seres humanos.

El deporte universitario ocupa un lugar muy especial en el mundo del deporte como vehículo de valores humanos, sociales y cívicos, plenamente integrado en la educación de los ciudadanos de hoy y de mañana.

Al situar el deporte en el centro del diálogo entre profesores y estudiantes, el Día Internacional del Deporte Universitario, celebrado por la UNESCO y la Federación Internacional de Deporte Universitario, tiene por objeto promover estos valores entre los jóvenes y, a través de ellos, en la sociedad en su conjunto.

El diálogo, el respeto hacia uno mismo y a los demás, el juego limpio y la búsqueda de la excelencia son los principios que enmarcan la educación de los estudiantes.

La educación y el deporte deben estar en el centro de nuestras sociedades, y esta fecha proporciona un espacio para poner de relieve la función social de las universidades y sus planes de estudio, poniendo el deporte al alcance de todos y alentando a las personas a hacer ejercicio con regularidad.

Por estos motivos la Federación Dominicana de Kurash (Fedokurash) se une a la celebración de este Dia Internacional del Deporte Universitario con su Comité Ejecutivo, Cuerpo Técnico, Asociaciones, Atletas, Entrenadores, Árbitros, Personal de Soporte y Colaboradores, entre otro.

WORLD KURASH DAY - 6 September 

Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana.- Arribamos a la celebracion del XXIV Aniversario de la fundacion de la International Kurash Association actividad que se realizo el 06 de septiembre de 1998 en Tashkent, ciudad capital de Uzbekistan, pais que forma parte del continente asiatico.

A pesar de que ningun historiador puede asegurar cuando surgio exactamente el Kurash como arte marcial y 
muchos lo situan con más de 3.500 años de antigüedad. 

Hoy dia con 24 años de existencia de la Internacional Kurash Association es un acontecimiento histórico y memorable, ya que abrio el camino al mundo a un estilo de deporte 
nacional.

El Kurash ahora es popular en el mundo debido a la soberanía adquirida por la Republica de Uzbekistan el 1 de septiembre 1991 ya que la independencia abrió una fuente inagotable a nivel mundial de muy diversos valores históricos, culturales, espirituales nacionales y sobretodo deportivos.

El kurash ha escalado importntes sitiales a nivel deportivo bajo la actual presidencia del ciudadano kuwaiti Haider Farman a la vez que continua la expansion en diferentes paises y continentes.

En la Republica Dominicana esta discilina llego en el 1999 y desde esa fecha el desarrollo ha sido constante realizando en el pais Campeonatos Mundiales y Panamericanos, Seminarios Internacionales, entre otras importantes actividades.

El regocijo de este Dia Mundial del Kurash es celebrado por las 
Uniones Continentales, Federaciones Nacionales, atletas, arbitros, 
entrenadores, entre otros, bajo las directrices de la International Kurash Association (IKA)

La Federacion Dominicana de Kurash (Fedokurash) es parte de la celebracion mundial en este dia del nacimiento institucional de la International Kurash Association (IKA).
