La segunda ciudad más grande de Grecia, Salónica será el anfitrión del IX Torneo Internacional Islam Karimov el 30 de enero de 2013.
El evento es organizado anualmente desde el año 2005 por la Federación de Grecia de Kurash y la Confederación Europea de Kurash y esta dedicado a la Presidencia de Honor de la Asociación Internacional de Kurash, el Presidente de Uzbekistán, Su Excelencia el Sr. Islam Karimov.
Este año el evento se llevará a cabo en tres categorías de peso para hombres en 66, 81 kilogramos de peso y categoría abierta y ofrecerá premios en metálico en cantidad de diez mil dólares. Hay un centenar de inscripciones de los mejores competidores que representan a cerca de 30 países de Asia, África y Europa.

The second largest city of Greece, Thessaloniki will be the host of the IX Islam Karimov international tournament on 30 January 2013.
The event organazied annually since 2005 is held by the Greece Kurash Federation and the European Kurash Confederation and is dedicated to the Honorary President of the International Kurash Association and the President of Uzbekistan His Excellency Mr. Islam Karimov.
This year the event is to be held in three weight categories, senior males under 66, 81 kg and open weight category and will offer the prize money in amount of ten thousand US dollars. There are about one hundred entries from top players representing around 30 countries of Asia, Africa and Europe.
