On July 3, 2013 the Kurash Confederation of Asia, the continental union of the International Kurash Association held its ordinary Congress meeting in Incheon, Korea. The Congress meeting was held at the Posco Convention Center in the downtown of Incheon, the host city of the 4th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG).
The Congress of the Kurash Confederation of Asia (KCA) was attended by delegates from Asian nations participating in the Asian Games in Incheon.
The main item in the agenda of the meeting was related to election of the new President of the KCA. The Congress members unanimously elected to this position Mr. Haider Farman (Kuwait), a well-known and respected sports personality in Asia and in the world due to his long and very effective activity in the Olympic Council of Asia. Mr. Farman is the Director of the Asian Games Department in the Olympic Council of Asia, one of the most important units within the OCA overseeing the organization and running of all Asian Games.
The Congress members also approved the new executive structure and commissions of the KCA and heard the report of the Chinese Taipei Kurash Federation on preparations to the Asian Junior Kurash championships which will be held in August in Taipei.
This edition of the Asian Games held by the Olympic Council of Asia in Incheon, Korea from 29 June to 6 July 2013 is the first edition of the originally separate Indoor Games and Martial Arts Games which were held as two separate Games before.
In past the Asian Indoor Games were hosted by Bangkok, Thailand in 2005, Macau, China in 2007 and Hanoi, Vietnam in 2009. The Asian Martial Arts Games were held only once in Bangkok, Thailand in 2009. In 2010 the Olympic Council of Asia decided to merge these two Games into one, in order to increase the marketing appeal and attention of sport followers in Asia. The sport program was also dramatically cut leaving only ten most interesting sports, which includes Kurash as well.
The Kurash competitions will be held in three days from 4 to 6 July at the brand new Ansan Sangroksu Gymnasium which can accommodate up to three thousand spectators. The competitions will be organized in eight weight categories: men under 66, 73, 81, 90 and over 90 kg; women under 52, 57 and 63 kg.

3 de julio de 2013, la Confederación Kurash de Asia, unión continental de la Asociación Internacional Kurash celebró su reunión ordinaria del Congreso en Incheon, Corea. La reunión del Congreso se celebró en el Centro de Convenciones de Posco en el centro de Incheon, la ciudad anfitriona de los Cuartos Juegos Bajo Techo y de las Artes Marciales (AIMAG). El Congreso de la Confederación Kurash de Asia (KCA) contó con la participación de delegados de los países asiáticos que participan en los Juegos Asiáticos en Incheon. El principal punto en el orden del día de la reunión fue relacionado con la elección del nuevo Presidente de la KCA. Los congresistas elegieron por unanimidad para este cargo el Sr. Haider Farman (Kuwait), un conocido y respetada personalidad del deporte en Asia y en el mundo debido a su actividad de larga y muy eficaz en el Consejo Olímpico de Asia. El Sr. Farman es el Director del Departamento de Juegos en el Consejo Olímpico de Asia, una de las unidades más importantes dentro de la OCA que supervisa la organización y funcionamiento de los Juegos Asiáticos. Los miembros del Congreso también aprobaron la nueva estructura ejecutiva y comisiones del KCA y escucharon el informe de la Federación de Kurash de Taipei sobre los preparativos para el Campeonato Juniorde Kurash de Asi que se celebrará en agosto en Taipei. Esta edición de los Juegos Asiáticos celebrados por el Consejo Olímpico de Asia en Incheon, Corea, del 29 de junio al 6 julio 2013 es la primera edición de los Juegos de Salón originalmente separados y los Juegos de las Artes Marciales Juegos que se celebraron en dos juegos separados antes. En el pasado los Juegos de Asia fueron acogidos por Bangkok, Tailandia, en 2005, Macao, China en 2007 y Hanoi, Vietnam 2009. Los Juegos Asiaticos de las Artes Marciales se celebraron sólo una vez en Bangkok, Tailandia, en 2009. En 2010, el Consejo Olímpico de Asia decidió fusionar estos dos juegos en uno, con el fin de aumentar el atractivo comercial y la atención de los seguidores del deporte en Asia. El programa deportivo también se redujo drásticamente dejando sólo diez deportes más interesantes, que incluye Kurash también. Las competiciones de Kurash se llevarán a cabo en tres días, del 4 al 6 de julio en el nuevo Ansan Sangroksu gimnasio con capacidad para tres mil espectadores. Las competiciones serán organizados en ocho categorías de peso: los hombres menos de 66, 73, 81, 90 y más de 90 kg, las mujeres menores de 52, 57 y 63 kg.
