6 SEPTEMBER- WORLD KURASH DAY
International Kurash Association was founded on September 6, 1998. Uzbek national Kurash is more than 3,500 years old. No historian can unreservedly say when exactly this martial art emerged. Nevertheless, this unique messenger of ages holding everlasting national values has a birthday. It is celebrated on September 6, as constituent congress held in Tashkent founded International Kurash Association (IKA) namely on this day in 1998.
Today is 19 years of the date of memorable and historical event that opened wide way of the world arena for the indigenous national sport style.
Representatives of 28 countries gathered at that September day of 1998 soaked with the atmosphere of our Uzbekistan’s Independence Day anniversary voted unanimously for the foundation of International Kurash Association and elected Komil Yusupov as its first president.

Kurash became popular in the world arena owing to the state sovereignty gained in 1991. Independence opened to the world public inexhaustible fount of quite various historical, cultural and spiritual national values, and sports values either.
Uzbekistan demonstrated its attitude to the nation’s historical heritage and got unique conductor of own national values to the world by initiating the creation of International Kurash Association.
Now the kuwaiti Haider Farman is the President of the IKA and under his presidency Kurash will be in the next Asian Games in the 2018.

La International Kurash Association (IKA) fue fundada el 06 de septiembre de 1998.
El Kurash es un deporte nacional uzbeco con más de 3.500 años de antigüedad.
Ningún historiador puede decir sin reservas cuando surgió exactamente este arte marcial.
Sin embargo y a pesar de las edades con eternos valores nacionales el Kurash tiene un cumpleaños que se celebra el 6 de septiembre, con el Congreso Constituyente celebrado en Tashkent fundando la International Kurash Association (IKA) es decir, en este día de 1998.
Hoy estamos a 19 años de la fecha del hecho histórico y memorable que abrió un camino amplio a la arena mundial para un estilo de deporte nacional indígena.
Representantes de 28 países se reunieron en el día de septiembre de 1998, impregnados de la atmósfera del aniversario del día de la independencia de Uzbekistán y votaron de manera unánime para la fundación de la International Kurash Association (IKA) y eligiendo a Komil Kusupov como su primer presidente
El Kurash llegó a ser popular en el ámbito mundial debido a la soberanía de estado en 1991 y la independencia abrió para el publico del mundo los inagotables valores nacionales históricos, culturales y espirituales muy diversos para este deporte.
Uzbekistán demostró su actitud respecto al patrimonio histórico de la nación y consiguió ser el único conductor de los valores nacionales propios al mundo, con la creación de la International Kurash Association.
Ahora el kuwaiti Haider Farman es al presidente de la IKA y bajo su mandato Kurash estará en los próximos Juegos Asiáticos en el 2018
