DIRIGENTES CONSIDERAN EXITOSA LA SEMANA DEL KURASH PANAMERICANO
Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana.- Como exitosa fue considerada la realización de la Semana del Kurash Panamericano por los diferentes dirigentes que participaron en la justa del 3 al 9 de junio en esta capital dominicana y la sureña ciudad de San Cristóbal. En efecto, las diferentes fechas fueron llenadas por las competiciones del V Torneo Internacional Kurash Playa, Campeonatos Panamericanos, Seminario Internacional y Concurso de Pintura con el Tema Kurash, fueron las actividades mas relevantes que se realizaron con la participación de los representantes de Venezuela, Republica Dominicana, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Estados Unidos y Haití, entre otros.
Los eventos fueron organizados por la Federación Dominicana de Kurash, Fedokurash, la que esta presidida por el profesor Israel Agustín Carballo Jiménez con el aval de la Unión Panamericana de Kurash que dirige el ingeniero Jaime Casanova Martínez y cuyo secretario general lo es el profesor Julián Abreu Jiménez.

«Venezuela dijo presente en el panamericano de kurash y seminario internacional, realizado en la ciudad de San Cristóbal y Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana del 4 al 9 de junio, nuestro agradecimiento a la UPK y su presidente Jaime Casanova, a la Fedokurash y al pueblo dominicano en general por su apoyo, seguimos trabajando por hacer de nuestro deporte, una alternativa para niños y jóvenes a futuro y hacer de ellos mejores ciudadanos», así se expreso el profesor Jesse Diaz, presidente de la Federación Venezolana de Kurash (Fevekurash) al referirse a la Semana del Kurash Panamericano.

«La semana del kurash es un evento con vigencia futura para el desarrollo del kurash en América donde los países de América se dieron cita para magno evento donde se impartió competencias en ambas modalidades kurash playa y de Gilam con una gran integración de las delegaciones del país e internacionales. Esperando que dicho evento siga siendo una tradición para América contando con el apoyo de la UPK» , indico Franklin Rafael Pérez, director de arbitraje de la Federación Dominicana de Kurash (Fedokurash) al referirse a las actividades de la Semana Panamericana del Kurash.

«Estimo que es una gran oportunidad para que los niños se involucren en el kurash, lo conozcan un poco mas y muestren sus habilidades en dibujo o pintura, es un estimulo ya que los padres se involucran y los animan a participar. Pienso que hay que seguirlo haciendo y que como esta vez aquellos que no puedan asistir tengan la oportunidad de hacerlo en forma virtual. Estas oportunidades hay que darlas a conocer a las autoridades de América y del IKA ya que se podría hacer algo similar por continente. Hay que ver la alegría de los niños haciendo sus dibujos e investigando un poco mas del kurash», aseveraciones de Luis Bogantes, presidente de la Federación de Kurash de Costa Rica.

«Desde la llegada de la pandemia hasta su disminución el Continente Americano sufría de la falta de actividades tanto competitivas como formativas ya que los cursos y intercambios en línea se volvieron monótonos y desanimados para ciertos, hacia falta algo de algo concreto ya que todos los otros deportes reiniciaron sus actividades competitivas. Los cambios de fechas nos hicieron todavía más mal ya que nosotros de Haití nunca habíamos parado nuestra preparación para participar de manera efectiva. Entre campo de entrenamiento e intercambios con nuestros vecinos de Dominicana, teníamos casi sed de esa actividad que aunque muy difícil de realizarse tuvo un éxito maravilloso de fraternidad, de nivel suficiente alto y con vista a un futuro grande y fructuoso del Kurash en América.
Digo yo que es el principio de un camino amplio de desarrollo de la disciplina ancestral. Sin olvidar felicitar a la UPK y la Fedokurash por el esfuerzo grande invertido por realizar ese evento tan difícil a realizar en el contexto actual de política en contra al Kurash», expresiones de Ulrick Louis-Charles, secretario general de la Federacion de Kurash de Haiti.
