El Día Olímpico
Internacional se celebró por primera vez en 1947. En la 41ª Sesión del Comité
Olímpico Internacional en Estocolmo ese año, el Dr. Josef Gruss, miembro checo
del COI, propuso el concepto de un Día Olímpico Mundial. Abogó por designar un
día para conmemorar todo lo que representan los Juegos Olímpicos. Después de
unos meses de trabajo, la idea del Dr. Gruss fue aprobada en la 42ª reunión del
COI en Suiza. El Comité Olímpico Internacional (COI) se formó el mismo día en
la Sorbona, París, en 1894, y el 23 de junio fue elegido como el Día Olímpico
Internacional debido a su importancia histórica.

Tashkent,
Uzbekistan.- In the continuation of the activities of the International Kurash
Seminar in this Asian city, the sheets were presented where the main techniques
used in this sport are detailed, which has great hopes of being incorporated
into the Olympic Games.
The event has
the support of the Uzbek Olympic Committee (UZB), the International Kurash
Institute (IKI), the Ministry of Culture and Sports with the coordination and
direction of the International Kurash Association (IKA).
The
aforementioned seminar was inaugurated by the president of the IKA, Haider
Farman, on June 15, 2021 at the facilities of the Uzbekistan Olympic Committee,
among other authorities from the Olympic and governmental sphere.
The training
appointment started on last June 13 and has an end date of the next day 21
after exhausting long days of training and the examination of the participants.
A wide
participation of countries such as Malta, Iran, Indonesia, India, Congo,
Kuwait, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Taiwan, Haiti, Italy, the United
States, among others.
As an important
note and during the inauguration, a memorandum was signed between the IKA and
the Uzbek Government for the support and expansion of the Kurash in the world
which was highly valued by the participants in the course.
The activity is
being directed by the technical director of the IKA, Mr. Reza (Ray) Nassiri
with the support of Ravi Kapoor and different expert teachers in the ancestral
discipline from Uzbekistan.
The information
has had a great collaboration from Ulrick Louis-Charles of the Haitian
delegation and who is also a member of the IKA Technical Commission.

Santo Domingo,
Dominican Republic.- The Brazilian Kurash Association introduced a Portuguese
language version of the recently modified Arbitration Rules by the Arbitration
Commission of the International Kurash Association (IKA) chaired by Mr. Reza
(Ray) Nassiri.
Professor Sidney
Olinto da Silva indicated that this translation is a way to contribute to the
development of the Kurash discipline worldwide and in a very special way
throughout the American continent.
This is the
result of different collaborations with the Kurash discipline after the
Refereeing, Training and Degree Systems Course that was taught virtually on May
21, 22 and 23 organized by the Dominican Kurash Federation (Fedokurash) with
the endorsement of the Panamerican Union of this sport.

PANAMERICAN KURASH UNION PRESENTS
THE SPANISH LANGUAGE VERSION OF THE
GRADES SYSTEMSanto Domingo,
Dominican Republic.- According to the presentation of the Degree System of the
Kurash discipline during the International Course held on May 21, 22 and 23,
2021, the version in Spanish was made by the Panamerican Kurash Union.
The degrees in
the Kurash come to fill a gap in the practices of the discipline at the same
time that it regularizes the category of professors, instructors and teachers
by applying the white lines in the respective red belts up to a maximum of five
and for the most advanced of one to three stars.
The translation,
layout and presentation of the Degree System was prepared and sent to the Panamerican Kurash Union by engineer Luis Enrique Bogantes Sanabria, president
of the National Kurash Federation of Costa Rica.
The work in
question had the great reception of the Executive Committee of the Panamerican Kurash Union who authorized its distribution in affiliated entities related
to the practice of Kurash throughout America.
"We are
very satisfied with the contributions that different people and from various
countries that have initiated a broad collaboration in all aspects with the Panamerican Kurash Union always having as a goal the organization and sports
development of our discipline", so affirmed the engineer Jaime Casanova,
president of the Panamerican Kurash Union when presenting the material
related to the Degree System.
