Swaziland hosted the XII African Championships

The African Kurash Union and the Swaziland Kurash Association successfully hosted the XII African Kurash continental championships among seniors and juniors under 20 in Malkerns, Swaziland.
Africa is one of the first continents which started to hold the continental Kurash championships. The first continental Kurash championships in Africa was held in 2001 in South Africa, and since then the continental event was hosted annually in different parts of Africa by countries like South Africa, Morocco, Madagascar, Mauritius, Zambia and others.
The African championship 2014 in the south-east African national of Swaziland was a well attended event with senior and junior male and female players and officials coming from various parts of the continents from countries like the Republic of South Africa, Swaziland, Botswana, the Republic of Congo, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique and others, despite the ongoing issues related to Ebola virus in the continent.
