Kurash officially included into Asian Games 2018 / Kurash oficialmente dentro de los Juegos Asiaticos 2018

Today the Olympic Council of Asia at its General Assembly meeting in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan officially unveiled the sport program of the 18th Asian Summer Games which will be held in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia from 18 August to 2 September 2018.
For the first time in history Kurash is included as an official sport into the program of this OCA’s flagship event widely acknowledged as the second largest multi sport Games after the Summer Olympics.
The IKA President Mr Haider A. Farman who also is a senior executives of the OCA in the capacity of the Asian Games Department Director says after this landmark decision for Kurash:
«Today is a truly historic day for the IKA, Kurash and all followers of our sport around Asia and the world. Inclusion of our beloved sport Kurash into the program of the most important continental Games in Asia marks the launch of the new era for promotion of our ancient sport not only in Asia but worldwide. On behalf of the IKA I would like to sincerely thank the OCA and its President, ANOC President and the Honorary President of the Kurash Confederation of Asia HRH Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah for his generous support given to Kurash».
According to the program revealed today there would 15 medal events for Kurash in the Asian Games 2018, seven for male weight categories and eight for female competitors.
Kurash will also feature in the official program of the 2016 Asian Beach Games in Vietnam and the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Turkmenistan.

Kurash oficialmente dentro de los Juegos Asiaticos 2018
El Consejo Olímpico de Asia (OCA) en su Asamblea General en Ashgabat, Turkmenistan oficialmente dio a conocer hoy el Programa de Deportes de los 18 Juegos Asiáticos de verano que se celebrarán en Yakarta y Palembang, Indonesia, del 18 de agosto al 02 de septiembre de 2018.
Por primera vez en la historia el Kurash está incluido como un deporte oficial en el programa del evento que es el buque insignia de la OCA, certamen ampliamente reconocido como los segundos más grande multijuegos deportivos después de los Juegos Olímpicos.
El Señor Presidente de la IKA, Haider A. Farma, quien también es alto ejecutivo de la OCA en calidad de Director del Departamento de Juegos Asiáticos dijo lo siguiente después de esta histórica decisión que favorece al Kurash:
«Hoy es un día verdaderamente histórico para las IKA, Kurash y todos los seguidores de nuestro deporte alrededor de Asia y el mundo. La Inclusión de nuestro querido deporte del Kurash en el programa de la parte continental más importante de los juegos en Asia es el lanzamiento de la nueva era para la promoción de nuestro antiguo deporte no sólo en Asia sino en todo el mundo. En nombre de la IKA, me gustaría dar las gracias a la OCA y su Presidente, Presidente de ACNO y el presidente honorario del Kurash Confederación de Asia su Alteza Real Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah por su generoso apoyo a Kurash».
Según el programa revelado hoy habrá 15 eventos de medalla para el Kurash en los juegos asiáticos 2018, siete para los hombres categorías de peso y ocho para las competidoras femeninas.
Kurash también contará en el programa oficial de los juegos asiáticos de playa de 2016 en Vietnam y el 2017 Asia interior y juegos de artes marciales en Turkmenistán.
