FEDOKURASH RESALTA FECHA DEL 6 ABRIL 2021 EN EL DIA INTERNACIONAL DEL DEPORTE PARA EL DESARROLLO Y LA PAZ
FEDOKURASH HIGHLIGHTS THE DATE OF APRIL 6, 2021 ON THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF SPORTS FOR DEVELOPMENT AND PEACE
Fue el 23 de agosto del 2013 cuando la ONU emitió la resolución donde se declaro el 6 de abril de cada año como el Dia Internacional para el Desarrollo y la Paz.
La motivación principal de esa fecha esta en la historia de la Primera Olimpiada de la Era Moderna cuando el 6 de abril 1896 se iniciaron los Juegos Olímpicos en Atenas, Grecia con 14 países participantes y 60 mil espectadores en el Estadio Panathinaiko con la apertura de parte del Rey Jorge I de Grecia en compañía de su esposa e hijos.
Que nos dice la resolución de las Naciones Unidas en uno de sus puntos?, veamos:
Invita a los Estados, el sistema de las Naciones Unidas y, en particular, la Oficina de las Naciones Unidas sobre el Deporte para el Desarrollo y la Paz, las organizaciones internacionales competentes, las organizaciones deportivas internacionales, regionales y nacionales, la sociedad civil, incluidas las organizaciones no gubernamentales y el sector privado, y todos los demás interesados pertinentes a que cooperen, observen el Día Internacional del Deporte para el Desarrollo y la Paz y creen conciencia al respecto;
Podemos notar en el documento que se convoca a todos aquellos organismos envueltos en actividades deportivas incluidos la sociedad civil y sector privado, entre otros, a integrarse a la actividad del Dia Internacional del Deporte y la Paz.
Diferentes actividades se enmarcan dentro de lo que es este 6 ABRIL 2021 como charlas, caminatas, competiciones, galería de fotos, videos, etc., todo resaltando la necesidad de la actividad física como prioridad para mantener una actitud saludable con marcado interés de fortalecimiento para resistir la actual pandemia del covid-19 que nos afecta.
La Federación Dominicana de Kurash, Fedokurash, por intermedio de su presidente el profesor Israel Caraballo Jiménez, ha instruido a su Cuerpo Técnico, Asociaciones, atletas, entrenadores, árbitros y dirigentes de la disciplina en todo el país a incidir significativamente en la celebración de este VIII DIA INTERNACIONAL DEL DEPORTE PARA EL DESARROLLO Y LA PAZ 2021.

Dominican Republic.- The importance of sport worldwide was privileged when the
United Nations General Assembly on the recommendation of the International
Olympic Committee (IOC) declared April 6 of each year as the International Day
of Sport for Development and the peace.
It was on August 23, 2013 when the UN issued the resolution declaring April 6 of each year as the International Day for Development and Peace.
The main motivation of that date is in the history of the First Olympiad of the Modern Era when on April 6, 1896 the Olympic Games began in Athens, Greece with 14 participating countries and 60 thousand spectators at the Panathinaiko Stadium with the opening of part of King George I of Greece in the company of his wife and children.
What does the United Nations resolution tell us in one of its points? Let's see:
Invites States, the United Nations system and, in particular, the United Nations Office on Sport for Development and Peace, competent international organizations, international, regional and national sports organizations, civil society, including non-governmental organizations and the private sector, and all other relevant stakeholders to cooperate, observing and raising awareness of the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace;
We can see in the document that all those organizations involved in sports activities, including civil society and the private sector, among others, are summoned to join the activity of the International Day of Sports and Peace.
Different activities are framed within what is this APRIL 6, 2021 such as talks, walks, competitions, photo gallery, videos, etc., all highlighting the need for physical activity as a priority to maintain a healthy attitude with a marked interest in strengthening for resist the current covid-19 pandemic that affects us.
