De esta manera en este 2024 se hace eco y se integra plenamente a la celebración del Dia Internacional del Deporte para el Desarrollo y la Paz que instituyo la Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas con el soporte del Comité Olímpico Internacional el 23 de agosto 2013.
La fecha elegida para la celebración del Dia Internacional del Deporte para el Desarrollo y la Paz fue el 6 de abril que coincide con la del inicio de los I Juegos Olímpicos de la Era Moderna en Atenas, Grecia en 1896.
La Unesco como organización de las Naciones Unidas y Peace and Sport promueven diferentes actividades en esta fecha las que son aceptadas por las diferentes Ministerios de Deportes, Comités Olímpicos Nacionales, Federaciones Nacionales y organismos comprometidos con el deporte.
Este año la Organización de las Naciones Unidas coloco como tema para la fecha bajo el titulo de «El deporte como instrumento para promover sociedades pacíficas e inclusivas«,
Por su lado Peace and Sport (Paz y Deporte) invita a unirse al símbolo #WhiteCard (tarjeta blanca) como parte del compromiso con los esfuerzos por la paz y el desarrollo en el medio por la vía del deporte.
Es que la #WhiteCard en el marco de un evento, competencia o cualquier actividad deportiva como referencia a la tarjeta amarilla y la roja, invita a no castigar sino a la promoción de la paz de manera muy especial en este 6 de abril como Dia Internacional del Deporte para el Desarrollo y La Paz.
La Fedokurash estuvo integrada plenamente a estas actividades bajo la dirección de su Comité Ejecutivo que esta integrado por Israel Caraballo Jiménez, Alquimedes Ortiz Cruz, Jaime Casanova Martínez, Franklin Pérez y Evelyn Cuevas, quienes son presidente, vicepresidente, secretario, tesorero y vocal, respectivamente.

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.- The activities of the Dominican Kurash Federation (Fedokurash) are not limited to championships, training clinics in different areas, daily practices, among others, as it is also responsible for following the different international sports activities.
In this way, in 2024 it echoes and is fully integrated into the celebration of the International Day of Sports for Development and Peace established by the General Assembly of the United Nations with the support of the International Olympic Committee on August 23, 2013.
The date chosen to celebrate the International Day of Sports for Development and Peace was April 6, which coincides with the start of the First Olympic Games of the Modern Era in Athens, Greece in 1896.
UNESCO as an organization of the United Nations and Peace and Sport promote different activities on this date which are accepted by the different Ministries of Sports, National Olympic Committees, National Federations and organizations committed to sport.
This year the United Nations Organization placed the theme for the date under the title of "Sport as an instrument to promote peaceful and inclusive societies."
For its part, Peace and Sport invites you to join the #WhiteCard symbol as part of the commitment to efforts for peace and development in the environment through sport.
The #WhiteCard in the framework of an event, competition or any sporting activity as a reference to the yellow and red cards, invites not to punish but to promote peace in a very special way on this April 6 as International Day of Sports for Development and Peace.
