Kurash anuncia los Campeonatos Nacionales
Santo Domingo, República Dominicana.- Los Campeonatos Nacionales de Kurash en infantil, juvenil y senior, tanto en femenino como en masculino, serán realizados este sábado 16 de mayo en la Provincia Santo Domingo con la participación de las Asociaciones provinciales de Azua, San José de Ocoa, San Cristobal, Distrito Nacional, San Pedro de Macoris, Monte Plata, La Altagracia, Hermanas Mirabal y Provincia Santo Domingo, entre otras.
Las actividades inician a las ocho de la mañana con el pesaje de los atletas a competir para luego realizarse el correspondiente sorteo de las diferentes categorías en el Congresillo Técnico.
A las 10 de la mañana iniciarán los combates en las divisiones de peso en infantil y juvenil, femenino y masculino en edades de seis a diez y seis años y dos áreas de combates simultáneos
La Ceremonia Inaugural está prevista para las once de la mañana a la que han sido invitados el Ministro de Deportes los ingenieros Kelvin Cruz y el presidente del Comité Olímpico Dominicano, Garibaldy Bautista.
Así mismo, el licenciado Luis Mejia Oviedo, miembro del Comité Olímpico Internacional y el doctor José Joaquin Puello, presidente Ad Vitam del Comité Olímpico Dominicano.
Por otro lado, el General de Brigada del Ejército Nacional, Raul Esteban Mora Hernández, presidente de la Confederación Deportiva de las Fuerzas Armadas y la Policía Nacional y el doctor Dionisio Guzmán, quien es presidente del Pabellón de la Fama del Deporte Dominicano.
También el doctor Edgar Augusto Feliz Méndez, director general de Asuntos Sociales y Alimentación Comunitaria.
Este evento servirá para escoger la Selección Nacional que representará al país en los Campeonatos Panamericanos de la disciplina a realizarse el próximo mes de julio.
La dirección de arbitraje del certamen atlético estará a cargo del doctor Alquimedes Ortiz quien es Director Técnico de Arbitraje de la Union Panamericana de Kurash y la parte de la organización deportiva corresponde el profesor Gilber Frankbel De León Puello, director técnico de la Federación Dominicana de Kurash (Fedokurash)

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.– The National Kurash Championships for children, youth, and seniors, both male and female, will be held this Saturday, May 16th, at the Sor Ángeles Valls Fe y Alegría Polytechnic School in Nueva Barquita, Santo Domingo Province.
Participating associations include those from the provinces of Azua, San José de Ocoa, San Cristóbal, the National District, San Pedro de Macorís, Monte Plata, La Altagracia, Hermanas Mirabal, and Santo Domingo Province, among others.

The activities begin at 8:00 a.m. with the weigh-in of the athletes, followed by the draw for the different categories at the Technical Meeting.
The competitions will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the children's and youth weight divisions, for both boys and girls aged six to sixteen, with two simultaneous competition areas.
The Opening Ceremony is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., and the Minister of Sports, engineer Kelvin Cruz, and the president of the Dominican Olympic Committee, Garibaldy Bautista, have been invited.
Also invited are Luis Mejia Oviedo, member of the International Olympic Committee, and Dr. José Joaquin Puello, President Emeritus of the Dominican Olympic Committee.
In addition, Brigadier General Raul Esteban Mora Hernández of the National Army, president of the Sports Confederation of the Armed Forces and the National Police, and Dr. Dionisio Guzmán, president of the Dominican Sports Hall of Fame, will be present.
Dr. Edgar Augusto Feliz Méndez, Director General of Social Affairs and Community Food Programs, will also be in attendance.
This event will serve to select the National Team that will represent the country in the Panamerican Championships of the discipline, to be held next July.

The refereeing for the athletic competition will be overseen by Dr. Alquimedes Ortiz, Technical Director of Refereeing for the Panamerican Kurash Union, and the sports organization will be handled by Professor Gilber Frankbel De León Puello, Technical Director of the Dominican Kurash Federation (Fedokurash).
