Kurash con amplio programa de actividades en el cuatrimestre septiembre - diciembre 2026 / Kurash Announces Extensive Activity Schedule for September–December 2026

Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana.- Diferentes actividades en el cuatrimestre septiembre - diciembre 2026 anuncio la Federación Dominicana de Kurash (Fedokurash), que incluyen campeonatos nacionales e internacionales, cursos y seminarios, asamblea ordinaria, entre otros importantes eventos.

Entre las actividades citadas están los VI Juegos Nómadas realizados en Kirguistán del 31 al 6 de septiembre donde el kurash formo parte del programa oficial de esta versión del certamen atlético que se realiza cada dos años iniciando en 2014.
Las versiones de 2014, 2016 y 2018 se realizaron en Kirguistán continuando en 2022 en Turquía ya que la correspondiente a 2018 tuvo que posponerse debido a la epidemia del Covid-19, 2024 en Kazajistan para retornar en 2026 a Kirguistán, teniendo la próxima sede en Tartaristán.

El Primer Campeonato Mundial Militar está fechado del 10 al 15 de septiembre en Tashkent, Republica de Uzbekistán con la organización de la International Kurash Association (IKA) y el aval de Consejo Mundial del Deporte Militar (CISM).

La Fedokurash ha programado los Campeonatos Nacionales de Kurash en infantil y Juvenil, femeninos y masculinos, para el 17 de octubre en la ciudad de San Cristóbal donde se espera la asistencia masiva de los atletas representativos de las diferentes asociaciones afiliadas a la entidad nacional.

Los XV Campeonatos Mundiales Senior en femenino y masculino están programados para efectuarse en la ciudad de Astana, Kazajistán del 4 al 7 de noviembre donde la Fedokurash espera participar con su selección nacional y está a la espera de la asignación de recursos de parte del Ministerio de Deportes y Recreación (Miderec) y su incumbente el ingeniero Kelvin Cruz Caceres.

El Primer Campeonato Panamericano de Kurash Policial, femenino y masculino a realizarse en Lima, Perú del 4 al 6 de diciembre forma parte de las diferentes actividades en las que los representantes de la Fedokurash deben de estar presentes teniendo el apoyo de las diferentes instituciones gubernamentales y empresariales a las que se les ha solicitado la financiación.

La Asamblea General de la Fedokurash será realizada a mediados del mes de diciembre donde las respectivas asociaciones recibirán los correspondientes informes del Comité Ejecutivo y sus ejecutorias durante el presente 2026.
Está previsto que durante todo el trayecto septiembre - diciembre 2026 las asociaciones afiliadas a la Fedokurash reciban la asistencia técnica a manera de elevar los niveles de arbitraje, entrenamiento y la certificación de grados.

"Este es un amplio y variado programa de actividades a desarrollar desde septiembre hasta diciembre 2026 donde nuestras Selecciones Nacionales verán acción acompañados de entrenadores y árbitros siempre con la consigna de poner en alto la bandera nacional", así se expresó el doctor Israel Caraballo Jiménez, presidente de la Fedokurash.

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.- The Dominican Kurash Federation (Fedokurash) has announced a series of activities for the September–December 2026 period, including national and international championships, courses and seminars, and an ordinary general assembly, among other key events.

Among the cited activities are the 6th World Nomad Games, held in Kyrgyzstan from August 31 to September 6; Kurash was part of the official program for this edition of the athletic competition, which has taken place biennially since 2014.

The 2014, 2016, and 2018 editions were held in Kyrgyzstan, followed by the 2022 games in Turkey (as the 2018 event had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic) and the 2024 games in Kazakhstan; the event returns to Kyrgyzstan in 2026, with the subsequent host location set for Tatarstan.

The First World Military Championship is scheduled for September 10–15 in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, organized by the International Kurash Association (IKA) and endorsed by the International Military Sports Council (CISM).

Fedokurash has scheduled the National Kurash Championships—covering children's and youth categories for both men and women—for October 17 in the city of San Cristóbal. A large turnout of athletes representing the various associations affiliated with the national body is expected.

The 15th Senior World Championships (men's and women's) are scheduled to take place in Astana, Kazakhstan, from November 4 to 7. Fedokurash plans to participate with its national team and is currently awaiting the allocation of funds from the Ministry of Sports and Recreation (Miderec) and its head, Engineer Kelvin Cruz Cáceres. The First Pan American Police Kurash Championship, to be held in Lima, Peru, from December 4 to 6, is one of the various events requiring the participation of Fedokurash representatives, supported by the government and business institutions from which funding has been requested.

The Fedokurash General Assembly will take place in mid-December; at this meeting, the respective associations will receive reports from the Executive Committee detailing its activities and achievements throughout 2026.

Between September and December 2026, Fedokurash-affiliated associations are scheduled to receive technical assistance aimed at raising standards in officiating, training, and rank certification.

"This is an extensive program of activities running from September to December 2026, during which our national teams will compete—accompanied by coaches and referees—always with the goal of flying the national flag high," stated Dr. Israel Caraballo Jiménez, President of Fedokurash.
