Santo Domingo.- La Asamblea General de Centro Caribe Sports (CCS), fue desarrollada en el Hotel Embajador, actividad en el marco de los XXV Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe a realizarse en la ciudad Primada de América del 24 de julio al 8 de agosto 2026.

Durante la Asamblea General el presidente de Centro Caribe Sports presento al ingeniero Jaime Casanova Martínez, como vicepresidente de la International Kurash Association (IKA), a la vez que informo la llegada al país de Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov, presidente de la IKA, para

participar de las diferentes actividades de los juegos.

La Asamblea fue iniciada con las palabras centrales del licenciado Luisin Mejia Oviedo, presidente de Centro Caribe Sports y miembro del Comité Olímpico Internacional (COI), y en la misma se pasó revista a los informes de las diferentes comisiones, informe económico, repaso de las facilidades de las instalaciones de los juegos a cargo del licenciado José Monegro en su calidad de presidente del Comité Organizador de estos XXV Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe.

En la actividad estuvieron presentes varios miembros del Comité Olímpico Internacional contándose entre ellos el presidente de Pan Am Sports, Neven Ilic; Nicole Hoevertsz, Paula Parreto y Damaris Young.
También presentes Garibaldy Bautista y Luis Chanlatte en sus condiciones de presidente y vicepresidente del Comité Olímpico Dominicano, así mismo, Bernardo (Tony) Mesa, director técnico de Centro Caribe Sports.

El escenario estuvo engalanado con la presencia de Steve Stoute y José Joaquin Puello Herrera, como ex presidentes de la Organización Deportiva Centroamericana y del Caribe (Odecabe) la que hoy día es conocida como Centro Caribe Sports.
Precisamente el licenciado Luis Mejia Oviedo paso los micrófonos al doctor José Joaquin Puello Herrera para clausurar la actividad haciendo un recuento de los

diferentes Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe que le toco dirigir en las funciones de presidente.
Una excelente actividad donde los informes fueron aprobados a unanimidad en un ambiente de camaradería y respeto de los presentes que representaban a 37 países que componen la entidad regional.

Central Caribbean Sports General Assembly

Santo Domingo.– The Central Caribbean Sports (CCS) General Assembly was held at the Hotel Embajador, as part of the preparations for the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games, to be held in the oldest city in the Americas from July 24 to August 8, 2026.

Association (IKA), and announced the arrival in the country of Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov, president of the IKA, to participate in the various activities of the Games.

The Assembly began with keynote remarks from Luisin Mejia Oviedo, President of Centro Caribe Sports and member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The Assembly then reviewed reports from the various committees, the financial report, and a presentation on the facilities for the Games, given by José Monegro in his capacity as President of the Organizing Committee for the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games.

Several members of the International Olympic Committee were present, including Pan Am Sports President Neven Ilic, Nicole Hoevertsz, Paula Parreto, and Damaris Young.

Also present were Garibaldy Bautista and Luis Chanlatte, President and Vice President of the Dominican Olympic Committee, respectively, as well as Bernardo (Tony) Mesa, Technical Director of Centro Caribe Sports.

The event was graced by the presence of Steve Stoute and José Joaquin Puello Herrera, former presidents of the Central American and Caribbean Sports Organization (CACSO), now known as Centro Caribe Sports. Luis Mejia Oviedo then passed the microphone to Dr. José Joaquin Puello Herrera to close the event, recounting the various Central American and Caribbean

Games he had led as president.

It was an excellent event where the reports were unanimously approved in an atmosphere of camaraderie and respect among the attendees, who represented the 37 countries that make up the regional organization.
